During the summer months, the concern for leaving children and animals in cars increases. There are people who will even smash windows and find any way they can to get into a car if they see a child or animal in it. In some cases when an animal or child has been left in the car, it is because the parent or owner was quickly going into a store for only a few minutes. Overheating doesn’t take long, especially for a child or pet, which is why it is best to never leave them unattended in a car on a hot day. It is not someone’s intent for their child or pet to be harmed, but it does happen. One father had a parent’s worst nightmare come true, and now he’s speaking out to let other parents know that accidents happen.
